OUR EXECUTIVE EXPLORATORY PROCESS:

1. Through an interactive process we determine your needs, coaching aims and how these can align with your personal goals as a Corporate Executive as well as how they align with company targets. Through this process we can determine if coaching is the appropriate solution to help you reach your target goals.
    
2. Once we both agree on the goals and desired outcomes, the first coaching session will clarify the goals and outcomes for the coaching sessions along with the scope, the techniques, and the length of time required.
    
3. A coaching plan is then developed, containing expected indicators of progress and success. These will serve as benchmarks for your success and progress. Your individualized coaching plan will ensure focus on your individual goals and will define the milestones (both short and long term) and measures of success within a specific time frame.

You can expect that each coaching session will last between one and two hours, and that additional sessions will be scheduled to allow you sufficient time to put your plan into action. You are also able to have telephone consultations between sessions and coaching sessions can be conducted on the telephone or online for your convenience.

Coaching is an extremely effective development tool that is most effective when goals are developed as a collaborative effort and revised in a continuous process throughout the duration of each client’s plan.

WHAT IS NEUROLINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING AND HOW DOES IT RELATE TO COACHING?

Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is a set of techniques developed by Richard Bandler and Dr. John Grinder in the 1970’s.

NLP came into existence during the early ‘70s in California during a period of social distress, Vietnam War protests, drugs and rock-n-roll. A young University student, named Richard Bandler, came upon the work of Fritz Perls, of famed gestalt therapy and Virginia Satir, a unique family therapist. He believed he could replicate, to a surprising degree, the very high-level therapy skills, and he met and partnered with Dr. John Grinder, a young college professor of linguistics, and together they looked for ways to improve therapeutic results and began working with Milton Erickson, MD, psychiatrist and master hypnotherapist to create a model of the unconscious mind being separate from the rest of the mind.

On the campus of the University of California at Santa Cruz, Bandler used what he knew about patterns in mathematics and computers and Grinder used what he knew about patterns in linguistics to create based on Perls and Satir model-- a meta-model (“meta” is Greek for “above, beyond, and about).

Their techniques opened up a whole new world of accessing the mind at the unconscious level to make behavioral changes at the source level. These techniques are a powerful tool in the hands of executive coaches that know that creating new programs or meta programs in the minds of their clients can help them achieve anything that they desire.

Part of the Cognitive Sciences and Cognitive Behavioral areas of Psychology, it involves General Semantics (Korzybski), Transformational Grammar (Noam Chomsky), Anthropology and Cybernetics (Bateson), Reframing (Watzalawick, et al.), Family Systems (Virginia Satir), Gestalt Therapy (Perls), Medical hypnosis (Milton Erickson), and several related studies.
